Free is and always will be the special word when it comes to marketing. There are many forms of free website promotion and they are internet classified ads, traffic exchanges, free text ad sites, article writing, and rebranding software.
All can be nice resources of targeted traffic if you are willing to put forth the time and effort. The problem that I have with them is you spend more time into them instead of putting your efforts where it should be. Let me explain.
Online classified ads, you will locate sites that will post your ad for up to 30 days for free but the question I keep asking myself is who and why reads them. I suppose there are some respectable people out there that do take the time to look but unless you know how to write an ad then you won’t get any CTR (click thru rate) and that can be depressing if you know what I mean. Maybe you have already tried this and found yourself scratching your head why. What you will probably find is more emails in your inbox trying to spam you into joining or purchasing something that you don’t even want.
Traffic exchanges are a useful resource and if you haven’t tried them there are some owners that are true to their patrons. The owners do work intensely, but so do you by spending most of your day surfing. Now, grant you they do give surfing bonus points, email bonus points, and special bonus pages for surfing and reading, but there again where did you put your time?
Free text ad sites are another fine source of website/blog traffic. There are as many of these sites as there are the others and they are the equal to traffic exchanges. These sites will send you an email when your text ad is circulated off their site so you can replace or update it. The preference is strictly up to you. Most sites will set a maximum to the ads allowed at one time and a smaller number of ads being rotated will give more exposure to your text ad.
As a time factor, these sites are a good resource because you write it, submit it, and walk away. But the thing as with all these forms of marketing you still have to keep them updated and that means work which means valuable time spent.
Article writing could be the best way to make use of your efforts. You write an article, submit the article, and collect the benefits for a long time. What I mean is, you are creating backlinks to your sites and as long as you are doing this on a normal basis, the search engines will notice you and keep an eye on you. As long as you present quality and quantity articles to pertinent sites that is.
And now for the last, custom business software has been around for a long time and you will observe many in the marketplace. They will include custom business software that will range from clickbank affiliate tool to a Google Ad Research Tool and the amount that is between is quite sizable.
